Hot Springs - Last fall the US Postal Service entered into an agreement with a Hot Springs man…an agreement intended to put him out of business.
It hasn't.
Seven-On-Your-Side's Jason Pederson reports on the latest complaint against Marshall Hancock.
###
When an ice cream shop owner in Massachusetts was looking for a miniature train to put out front of his business he was contacted by a Hot Springs man who claimed he had this train for sale.
In January a $750 deposit was sent to Marshall Hancock.
(Jason) "Where did you send the check to?" (Joe Deedy/Massachusetts) "P.O. Box 20371 Hot Springs, Arkansas 71903." If true, Hancock has violated an agreement with the US Postal Service.
Hancock agreed in back in September not to sell property online and receive payment for property at a P.O. box.
Like a lot of Hancock's customers, Deedy says all he has gotten for his money is excuses and broken promises.
In March Hancock couldn't deliver the train because he said he was on a mission trip.
Then he was at the bedside of his deathly ill brother in Colorado.
Lately Hancock claims he has been hospitalized in Hot Springs for a spider bite.
And Deedy is still waiting for a refund promised by the end of May.
(Deedy) “Now it's not the money. And apparently according to usedrides.com there are quite a few individuals he took. It's not just me.”
Usedrides.com is a website where people can buy and sell amusement rides.
The site warns visitors not to do business with Marshall Hancock or his business, MBH Concessions.
We would just like to talk with Hancock but so far he has not returned our call.
