Officer Involved Shooting in Saline County

Police aren't saying much right now, but we do know the shooting happened after a chase that began in Alexander earlier Sunday afternoon. The chase ended in Bauxite when authorities say the driver tried to run over an officer--and police opened fire.The driver's condition is unknown.
Saline County authorities told Channel 7 late Sunday night that state police were handling the investigation. But we were unable to confirm that with the state police spokesperson.
