Hermitage - The former superintendent of the Hermitage School District has pleaded guilty to a felony ethics violation in the misspending of district funds on school construction projects.
John Jordan entered the plea in exchange for prosecutors dismissing theft of entrusted property and laundering criminal proceeds charges. Prosecutors say they'll recommend Jordan be sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay $38,000 in fines and restitution.
Jordan and two others - former school official James Ederington and former school business manager Nancy Risher - were accused of breaking state ethics laws and misspending school funds.
Risher pleaded no contest in March to a misdemeanor charge of falsifying a business record. Ederington is on trial this week in Bradley County Circuit Court.
