A group of restaurants and businesses around Arkansas are being honored for their efforts in sharing Mexican culture and cuisine.
On behalf of the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture (web|news) and the Authentic Flavors of Mexico Foundation, the Mexican Consulate Office recognized ten Mexican businesses and restaurants in central Arkansas for their continued hard work in sharing the Mexican cuisine and culture with the people of Arkansas.
(Andres Chao, Mexican Consul) “We're going to continue to recognize the work of other restaurants that are working in the same way--with our cuisine and our culture--and share with the people of Arkansas--the people in the state of Arkansas--a part of our culture.”
Mexican Consul Andres Chao says these recognitions are just part of the growing relationship between his country and the Natural State.
(Chao) “I think this is important not only for the people of Arkansas, [but] also for the Mexican people, to integrate and work together to be a part of just one community.”
Restaurants and businesses that were recognized include Las Palmas, Regional, Señor Tequila, Cañaveral, Casa Mañana, La Hacienda, Señor Picante, Cancun, La Potosina and Karina's.
