Parkin, AR -
Authorities have cited 25 people in a raid on a game arcade in Parkin where police say illegal gambling was taking place.
The raid at the Play Time Arcade on Friday was carried out by Parkin police, the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board and Cross County sheriff's deputies.
Police found an undisclosed amount of cash and numerous alleged slot machines inside. Mayor Charles Patterson told Jonesboro television station KAIT that most of the people cited were elderly women. Parkin Police Chief Dean Davidson said undercover agents infiltrated the arcade in downtown Parkin.
A number of alleged gambling machines were seized. Davidson says the owner has not been charged but is under investigation.
