Pocahontas - Prosecutors have filed a capital murder charge against a Hoxie teenager accused of killing his girlfriend's father, then dumping the body in the river.
Prosecutors say they don't yet know if they'll seek the death penalty against 19-year-old Gregg Anthony Smith, who's accused in the January death of Ron Cathey of Pocahontas.
Authorities say Ron Cathey was apparently angry that Smith was dating his 15-year-old daughter. Authorities accuse Smith of hiding in the Cathey home overnight, then stabbing and beating Ronald Cathey to death. The victim's body was dumped in the Black River.
Prosecutors have also charged Cathey's wife, Shirley Cathey, with hindering apprehension. Smith, Shirley Cathey and the daughter were found in Georgia after the slaying.
