Little Rock - Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has named a Little Rock pastor to serve on the Arkansas Ethics Commission.
McDaniel appointed the Rev. J. Barrington Minix Sr. to the commission, which regulates the conduct of lobbyists and government officials. Minix is the senior pastor at Gaines Street Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock. He succeeds Larry Ross of Sherwood on the commission.
The commission has five members, who are appointed by the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, House speaker and Senate president. Minix joins Catherine Johnson of Little Rock, Elaine Black of Mount Ida, Stuart Vess of Scott and Linda Collins-Smith of Pocahontas on the panel.
