Man Found Slain at Columbia Co. Well Site

Forty-two-year-old Geno Perdue was found dead Tuesday. His body has been turned over to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy. Perdue worked for an oil well service company.
The body was found at about 10:00 a.m., and Columbia County Coroner Randy Reed said Perdue had been dead for about 12 hours when discovered.
The well is south of Emerson, about a mile west of U.S. Highway 79.
Columbia County deputies and state police responded to the scene.

Geno was not a "rough" neck. He was a good, kindhearted man. He laughed alot and loved his family. He worked hard to support his children. I had a friend in him. He was my daughters father and I am angry at the person who did this. He left behind 3 young children that deserved their father. My daughter would like to ask the person who did this, "Now who is going to walk me down the isle at my wedding one day?" Rest in peace Geno, you are greatly missed.
