Two men are facing felony weapons charges after allegedly taking a handgun onto the Dollarway High School campus Thursday. Pine Bluff police say 20-year-old Darnel Washington and 18-year-old Charles Hellums were met and detained by staff members at the school until police arrived.
According to a police report, students had first noticed the two men on campus Wednesday, and then saw them return in a vehicle Thursday. That’s when faculty members were alerted.

Both suspects are being held on probable cause for possessing a handgun on school property--which is a Class D felony.
