Chicot County Selected for Development Program

The university said Monday that Sharp and Poinsett counties previously were chosen for the program and another six counties will be selected over three years. The initiative, called Powering Rural Development, will provide the counties with training, technical assistance, and project management toward economic growth.
ASU helped in the development of the Lakeport Plantation House in Chicot County and now operates the museum and educational center.
