The middle of the United States is under a building ridge of high pressure which should keep us warm and mainly dry through the upcoming weekend. High temperatures will top out in the low to mid 80s with nighttime lows from the low to mid 60s. Humidity will gradually increase through the week, but it will not be terribly humid even then. A weak cold front will approach far northern Arkansas today with a slight chance for a few showers in that part of the state, but most of us will remain dry. The front retreats by Thursday with high pressure building in for a dry and warm weekend.
