One other threat is flooding. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, Little Rock had almost 3.5 inches of rain on an already saturated ground. Much of the state is now under a flash flood watch as this next system approaches.
We want all of you to be safe. Take the few minutes today to make sure you know where your safe place is located at home and at work. Here's the idea... go to the lowest level, go to an interior room or closet, put as many walls between you and the outside, and make sure the room has absolutely no windows. Also, bring something like a thick pillow to protect your head from any debris. It's also good to have a battery operated tv or radio and flashlights if your electricity goes out. You will need to stay informed in case power goes out. We will keep you updated here and on Channel 7 news. Hopefully this system will not produce much, but right now it does appear a significant outbreak may occur in the moderate risk area highlighted below from the Storm Prediction Center.
