Severe Risk Increasing

5 PM Tuesday Update... If you are reading this, it's obvious you have access to the internet.  Many in Arkansas do not and right now that's the only way to sign up for "Weather Call 7".  Spread the word that we will be taking TELEPHONE calls to subscribe Arkansans Wednesday on Channel 7 News at 5 and 6 PM.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Arkansas under a slight risk for severe weather today and a moderate risk for severe weather Thursday.  While there could be some rough weather later today, I'm still much more concerned about Thursday.  Hail, high winds, and tornadoes will be possible.  We will be on top of the situation all through the week here and on Channel 7 News.

A total of 10 tornadoes have been confirmed in central Arkansas from last Thursday.  We have more information on those tornadoes two postings below.

Bill
Why is the Jet stream remaining for such a long period directly over Arkansas. Isn't this unusal, and what is needed to break the cycle. Also the number of storms coming off the pacific seems higher than normal. What is causing this pattern?
