Mother Nature May Shoot Some of Her Own Fireworks

9:30 PM Sunday Update...storms fired on an outflow boundary tonight across downtown Little Rock.  The storms produced more than two inches of rain at the Little Rock airport.  It broke the daily rainfall record set back in 1932.

There will be the threat for severe weather later today (Saturday), especially across northern Arkansas.  I am monitoring the situation very carefully and will keep you updated.  Please send severe weather photos to photo@katv.com

Hey Todd does it look like there will be the chance for any pop up showers in the next 7 days?

I managed to get a great spot next to the Hop downtown! It only sprinkled for a little bit during the day while we were going down there, but today we got some unexpected downpours. At least, unexpected to me!!

Happy 4th to all. I'm watching the line of storms in NW Arkansas.

Todd,

will this possibly get into central Arkansas and disrupt any fireworks? I'm hoping that it stays to the north and stirs up the air a little, maybe knock our temps down this evening?
