3PM Thursday... It's official. Little Rock has had their first 90 degree day of the year. This breaks the 1960 record of 89 degrees.
9 PM Wednesday Update... We hit 83 today in Little Rock and some places reached 90 in western Arkansas. More 80 degree+ temps will be common with a more active weather pattern next week.
There's just something about these nice spring days which make me want to put a big juicy steak on the grill and enjoy the weather. Right now, it appears this will last into next weekend. The 12 Z GFS wants to bring a front into the state by the weekend, but last nights 0Z run didn't and the new Euro keeps us dry. It looks like the front will get hung up to our north with strong southwesterly winds developing late this week.
I still need suggestions for the baby room. Misty has a great idea with a sky blue wall and clouds. Any ideas?

I was looking at the GFS and cant find any good push of cold air to give us a good reason to HOPE for snow ....
The models looks to warm for the next few days and weeks for snow ..
In April its hard to get ice or cold but anything could work if we got the right set up
By the way ,... GFS around may 7 looks like a storm could push some Cool air into northern north America ...
But not cold for snow just a refresh snap of cool temps and warm days ...will we get snow this year ? we shall see
I'm curious though, as a severe weather loving guy, is there any reason why this season has been pretty dormant or is this about usual for this time of the year? I see a long term saying severe weather with mid 80's, that looks pretty nasty.
