Last night, Little Rock and North Little Rock recorded their first official freezing temperatures of the season. Little Rock dropped all the way to 29 degrees. The average first freeze of the year is November 12th so we were only a few days away from that. The earliest freeze on record was Oct. 20th, 1989 and the latest was April 19th, 1983.
The low in North Little Rock was 30 degrees. This makes it the earliest freeze since 2000.
The National Weather Service Office in North Little Rock does a fantastic job of keeping all these stats.
