Atlantic Tropical Season Begins

Ever since the horrible 2005 hurricane season, this time of the year makes many nervous.  The last two years have produced quite seasons in terms of storms hitting the United States.  Hopefully we can make this year quite as well.

Arthur has already formed and will not be a big storm and not affect the United States.  Below is a list of names for the year and what NOAA is predicting for the activity this year.  Please remember when looking at their forecast that it's not going to be perfect.  I am not a big believer in long term forecasts.  While they are good attempts at predicting the patterns weeks and months down the road, they will have errors.

Arthur, Bertha, Chistobal, Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gustav, Hanna, Ike, Josephine, Kyle, Laura, Marco, Nana, Omar, Paloma, Rene, Salley, Teddy, Vicky, and Wilfred
