Purple Hull Pea Festival

Sorry for the lack of updates.  It has been crazy!  This adventure was definately worth the wait!  I enjoy festivals, and covering them is something I absolutely love to do.  Saturday, I spent the day in Emerson, Arkansas (click for map) which is about seven miles north of the Louisiana Border.  I was there doing live shots for the Purple Hull Pea Festival for Saturday Daybreak.  I decided to stay a while and was asked to be in the "Million Tiller Parade" which our very own Anne Pressly was the "Grand Pea Marshall".  So, I along with Newstar of coarse was number two in line of the parade behind Anne's convertible.   The festival includes a pea shelling competition and as always, the main event,The Tiller Thriller - 'The Weyerhaeuser 200' World Championship Rotary Tiller Race(more info here)  I have seen them on TV many times, but never in person.  It is very cool to watch from the sidelines.  I have put some video of Saturday's tiller race below and also, a link to a slide show of pictures of the day's happenings.
