It has been a wild week, in both weather and politics. First, it snows in North Dallas while we were there early in the week. Mike Huckabee drops out, and Hillary Clinton wins Texas. As I said, it was a nasty, snowy day in Dallas on Monday, but Tuesday, it was a beautiful day. It was 60 degrees and crystal blue sky. We were at the Four Seasons Resort in Irving, TX where Huckabee had his watch party. We were the only Little Rock station there to hear his announcement of dropping out of the race. It was kind of cool to once again whiteness history in the making. It is also really cool to see Network Reporters go though the same things we go through! We came home Wednesday then Thursday, we are sent to Russellville to cover yet more snow moving into the area. We did 5,6 and 10 Thursday night from the IHOP parking lot in Russellville. We also did Daybreak, GMA, and Midday on Friday there as well. They treated us very well and we had all the coffee and hot chocolate we could drink! Friday afternoon, we went live from London, Arkansas which is about 8 miles north of Russellville, because that town had their power knocked out from the storm. Heather Crawford co-anchored the news from the field. I too, was disappointed about the snow totals in Central Arkansas, since I love snow. I know there is always next time! Below, I have posted a few pictures from the past week's adventures. I have many more pictures on the old blog page. You can get there by clicking HERE.
