On Friday’s Good Morning Arkansas Dee Dee Helbig of Ava Ava Bella Day Spa stopped by to share more great do it yourself ideas. This time it’s do it yourself make-up!
Lips
Beets
Kool-Aid
Jell-O
Dark Berries (raspberries, blackberries, or pomegranates)
Instructions:
Mash the beets & fruit. Separate using a Q-tip. Apply the color to lips. The beets will stain the lip the longest. With the Kool-Aid or Jell-O, mix a little bit with Vaseline or vitamin E. This will give it some slide and moisture for your lips. Be careful not to get any of these on your teeth! If you’re looking for a little gloss- use a vitamin E capsule by itself. It'll add glisten and moisture to your lips!
Eyes
Unscented Baby Powder
Food Coloring
Vaseline
Vitamin E
Instructions:
Mix a little bit of the baby powder, & very little color, until you get the consistency & color you prefer. Add a little Vaseline or Vitamin E for more of a creamy eye-shadow.
Cheeks
Baby Powder
Leftover Eye Shadow
Beets
Vaseline
Vitamin E
Instructions:
Take a little bit of your mashed beets & add vitamin E or Vaseline. Again, when you have the consistency & desired color use it on your cheeks. You can also take some of your old eye-shadow & mix it with the baby powder for cheek color.
Face powder
Baby Powder
Instructions:
If you have fair skin, take a cotton ball & a little bit of baby powder & apply it lightly to your skin. This will give you a matte look & also help absorb the oil. You can also use baby powder in your hair to help with excessive oil.
