Pest Repellent
25 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoon mineral oil
2 teaspoons dishwashing liquid
1-pint water
Place garlic and water in jar and allow to sit for 24 hours. Mix all ingredients together & strain. Spray underside of plants. Repels cabbage worm, horned worms, cabbage loopers, soldier bugs, and white cabbage moths.
Insecticidal Soap
Mix 2-3 tablespoons dishwashing liquid into 1-gallon water
Spray soap on pests (aphids), which smothers pest
White Powdery Mildew Recipe
2 1/2 tablespoons horticultural oil (vegetable oil)
4 teaspoons baking soda
1-gallon water
Mix together and store in spray bottle. Spray affected plant, top and bottom, every 14 days or after heavy rains.
Transplanting Shock Control
1 ½ cup table sugar
1-gallon water
Mix together. Water newly planted trees or shrubs ½ gallon of sugar water solution 1x a week for 4 weeks.
