Room with a View
category: The Click

If you are doing advance planning for a summer trip, wouldn't it be nice to avoid unpleasant surprises when you get to your hotel?  What if you could preview the exat room you would be staying in -- from the comfort of your own home?

Because stars will only tell you so much, the Key is a website that lets you take a sneak peek of that room with a view -- TVTrip.com.

The site features hundreds of hotels that offer virtual tours with panoramic views of rooms, restaurants and all other amenities.  Practically the only thing you can't do is test out how comfy the bed is ..... though you can see its size.

You start your journey by typing in the city you plan to visit, the airport you'll be arriving at or even a famous landmark.  For example, type in "Eiffel Tower," and TV Trip will bring up more than a thousand results -- all prospective hotels in the City of Lights.  Watch mini-movies of places you're considering, check out the minimum rates for rooms and put away any remaining doubts by reading hundreds of customer reviews.

If you still aren't sure -- just save it in the folder marked "My Trips" so you can come back to it later and check out the places where you plan to check in.
