My Worst Valentine's Gift EVER

Congratulations to Shari Allen of Hot Springs!

On Saturday Daybreak, on February 9, Shari’s entry was drawn from the many viewers wrote us telling about the worst Valentine’s Day gift they’d ever received.  She won a beautiful Philip Stein Teslar watch valued at $600 from Kenneth Edward's Fine Jewelers to make up for the bad gift she received in the past.

Her entry:

The Valentine gift I will never forget happened 48 years ago.  (Gosh, I am that old)!  I was in third grade and very shy.  My mother enrolled me in dance class.  It just so happened my dance instructor had a “cute” son in my class.  We all had our decorated Valentine boxes and card exchange.

This “cute” child surprised me.  He gave me a kiss in class and a beautifully wrapped package.  Blushing, I opened my gift.  There was a dead snake!  I wet myself from fright.  Since then my relationships have been shaky?!  Could it be true love that young?
