Bottom of the Bottle
category: Diet Advice

Health concerns are making Americans more aware of what they should and should not be eating, but your favorite drink could cause just as many problems.

Some of the drinks we reach for first often have more sugar lying in the bottom of the bottle than we realize.  Did you know that a 12oz can of Coke actually has 12 teaspoons of sugar?!

A lot of health issues can be caused by such high levels of sugar.  High consumption of beverages with high sugar content has been directly connected to obesity.  You should also check the label for phosphoric acid -- high levels in most beverages can effect bone health if you don't compensate with enough foods and beverages with calcium.
