I'm so glad to be in Stuttgart this morning. Every time I come here, I leave happy. The people are just so friendly and I think there is a great community spirit in Stuttgart. Photog Brian and I were the first ones on the ground here after the tornado ripped through Stuttgart last May. It was amazing how this community immediately sprang into action, helping each other and making sure everyone was all right. In the midst of all that chaos, their concern for each other was still visible.
But that was a year ago and today we want to talk about the good stuff that's going on right now. I interviewed the mayor this morning and she spoke very highly of their Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie, which features a lot of agricultural history. We'll also try to get over to see the wildflowers on the Grand Prairie. And of course, no Stuttgart profile would be complete without rice and duck hunting! Riceland Foods is headquartered here. We'll head over to Mack's Prairie Wings to talk duck hunting with the pros. I might even try my hand at the duck call, but I might just end up embarrassing my father!
