Baby Shower

Well I am now considered “full-term” and my doctor says Baby can come anytime. It’s kind of relief knowing that I don’t have to worry about pre-term labor at this point.

Apparently, our baby girl is in the head-down position and already low in the pelvis (which is good news). I’ve still been feeling pretty good with the exception of some back pain and the lack of sleep (since it’s difficult to find any comfortable sleeping positions). If you have any advice or tips on getting sleep while nine months pregnant… please let me know!

But back to the topic of this post, I want to thank my dear friends Jamie Deason, Sandra Kirk, and Amanda Manatt for throwing me such a wonderful baby shower!!! We had great food, great company, and of course… the cutest little baby gifts. I was also so excited to have my mom, Lelia, here from South Dakota for the shower. It was so much fun! I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life… and in the life of my sweet baby girl.

Here are some pictures from the shower. Enjoy!

What a cake!

The best friends a girl could have!

Me and my mom... isn't she cute?!

Our baby girl will be ready for her first Razorback game! (Thanks Melinda!)

I had horrible, horrible insomnia during my third trimester with my son. When I'd been awake for over 48-hours straight, I ended up on Ambien. I have three other children to care for, I had to get some sleep! Better living through chemistry!

Christina -

As a grandmother of four and none of them are babies now, I have really enjoyed watching you and reading your blog. My husband and I have watched you and made comments almost every night as to how you might be feeling. You have certainly seemed to enjoy this time in your life. You have so much to look forward to. Your blog has been great. The shower was so pretty and your Mom surely is "Cute." She looks so young. I hope she will be here when your baby girl arrives.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful time with your viewers.

Christina, You look beautiful!!!! I know you are on the count down now. It is all worth it! I slept in my husband's recliner the last 3 months of my pregnancy. I even labored in it for the first 6 hours before I finally had to go to the hospital. After that, I think I slept in the chair every night for the first few months after my son was born!!! I wish you and your husband the best of luck!!!

Congradulations.... I have 3 girls and they all sat low. The best way that I could sleep was on my side with a pillow between my knees, or on my back with a pillow behind the middle of my back and one behind my head. Trust me, after the baby is born, you will forget about all the pain and hard times.

The only way I could sleep was to get in a comfy easy chair and put my feet on a foot rest. A recliner might do the same, just as long as you are not sitting at 90 degrees. Best wishes.

Congrats, on your up coming arrival. your baby shower looked beautiful. tips on getting sleep in the 9th month what helped me a lot was the body pillow that just completely wraps around you. It helps support your belly and provides comfort to your legs while sleeping on your side,(since that is the only some what comfortable position.) Good Luck, and God Bless, your little bundle of joy!

Vicky
You look beautiful when doing the news! Congrats and good luck!

Rhonda
You look like you had so much fun at your shower! I'm so glad for you. :)

As far as sleeping, all I can say is good luck! I carried twins, and the best sleep I got in the last few weeks was propped up on my couch. Our bed is kind of tall, so I couldn't get in it by month five. I slept with three pillows under my head, and a pillow between my knees. But, by the time I got to sleep, I'd wake up hungry, so I didn't sleep until I had them.

Sandra

tHANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR JOY WITH US, YOUR VIEWERS.

I'm so glad you had a beautiful baby shower, and it's good to have the support of family and friends. On the other hand sleep, no much now and no time soon, but, it's all worth it when your little girl arrives.

Congratulations!!! The real fun is about to begin. Your whole world is about to change for the better!!! I would like to remind you to take baby mittens in you hospital bag. My granddaughter really scratched her face and made a few pictures not look the best. Of course, she was, and still is one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen You'll understand even more once your Little Princess arrives. I hope you have an easy and safe delivery, and a very healthy, happy Baby!!! God bless you.

If you want to get more than 30 minutes, get a body pillow!!!!! That was my savior. Best $25.00 I ever spent. I have a 3 year old son and I got NO sleep my last month.

Good Luck, Jeribeth Edward, Cabot

I love the pics....you definitely have a glow to you...As for comfortable sleep positions, I have only one idea for you. By the time I would get comfortable, I would have to get up and go to the bathroom. Honestly, the best sleep i got was in my hubby's recliner. It was very plush and comfy. I slept there the last two weeks of my pregnancy.

I love the baby shower cake its so cute! And the 4-D baby pics.

Hershel Myers
I couldn't give any advice on sleeping positions as Nancy couldn't find one with either of our children at nine months. We like the pictures. As far as your cute Mom, like mother like daughter. So it won't be long now. Congratulations. Hershel and Nancy Myers
