When I was younger I hated my name b/c it was spelled differently. Now I LOVE my unique spelling. I keep finding more and more people who spell "Ashley" the way I do....not to mention Ashlee Simpson.

Christina, I had my first child Oct 10, 07. My due date was Oct 21,07 so it has been fun for me to read the blogs and watch you on TV and think to my self, this exact time last year....... We had a hard time deciding on a name for our little girl. We named her Chandler Kate. It is mostly used as a boys name, but when I saw it in one of the 8 baby name books, I repeatly looked through, it just sounded like such a strong, independent womens name, and it fits my beautiful 9 month old daughter perfectly. Another name that we considered was Olivia Graycen, and would have called her "Livi Grace" (this was most peoples favorite). Treasure EVERY moment, the good and the bad, they grow soooo fast.

Congratulations on having a baby girl. We have been blessed with 2 girls. They are truley a blessing, Hold her close to your heart, she will grow up very fast. Mine are now 19 and 23. Our oldest daughter is Michelle Leigh. I have always spelt names different. My youngest I was hoping for a boy, and my oldest said that it was going to be a girl and her name would be Alesha Lynn. And yes she was right. it was a girl. In 1984 there wern't many Alesha's so I spent a couple of days in the hospital trying to figure out how to spell her name, with no help from her 4 year old sister who named her!!!! I finally spelt it just like it sounded. And yes both girls have shortened there names, Chell for one and Lesh for the other. Whatever you decide please make sure that she will not be made fun of on the playground and by her piers. Also remember if you ever go buy items with premarked names, if you spell it different then you won't find there name. I truly hope your morning sickness is over. With the first girl I wasnt sick at all , with the youngest I was sick ALL 9 monthes. Including the day she was born.

I like these...Kaylin Marie and Kacie Anne...my best advise is if you have a family name that is passed down...use it. It makes it all the more importent. Plus, make sure it passes the playground test...kids can be ruthless...haha!
