'Playboy Jailer' Back In The News

Posted: Updated:

The former Washington County jailer fired after nude pictures of her turned up on Playboy.com has a new Playboy honor.

Jessie Lunderby has been named Playboy Cyber Girl of the month for October. She said new photos will be appearing every week in October.

The 21-year-old is currently working at Hooters in Fort Smith. She said the company is respectful of her schedule, which includes modeling, acting and other projects.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said it fired Lunderby for her online appearance on the website in July.

In an interview with 40/29 News, Lunderby said she has no regrets about her off-the-job activities. She did not appeal her firing.

Since she was fired, Lunderby said she has traveled the country. Lunderby said she and her legal team are looking into why and how she was fired.

"My lawyers are taking care of everything right now, so I'm pretty much just sitting by and letting them do everything," Lunderby said. "My superiors knew about this and they pretty much just trashed me and that's horrible. And then to fire me and not give me the option to resign."

Lunderby said her future is bright. She said she thought she didn't do too well in her acting debut, but wants to continue acting.

"I mean it's definitely an experience. I'd like to try more acting, but it's really hard. It's a lot harder than you would think," Lunderby said. "You do the same scenes over and over."

Lunderby wouldn't comment on what her family thinks of her new line of work. When asked about the criticism she's received both in person and online, Lunderby said she doesn't care what people think.

"If they don't like it (then) don't pay attention to what I'm doing. Go on about your life," Lunderby said. "I'm happy with what I'm doing. This is what I've always wanted to do and actually being able to do it is a dream come true."

Lunderby said in the coming weeks she'll be launching her own personal website.
