Clouds will continue to increases across Arkansas today as a storm system slowly approaches from the west. The Storm Prediction Center has place NW Arkansas under a Moderate Risk area for severe weather this afternoon and tonight. A Slight Risk area extends down into central Arkansas for late tonight. Some storms could be strong or severe as the heat of the day builds and the storms develop and move in from our west.
More thunderstorms will develop and push into the state Tuesday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of the state under a Slight Risk for severe weather Tuesday.
A few thunderstorms could persist into Wednesday, especially in the morning hours. Right now gusty winds, hail and possibly heavy rain look to be our biggest threats, however, isolated tornadoes can't be ruled out.
